Easter 2012

This year for Easter we decided to celebrate all week long. We went to our friends house, Liz, to decorate eggs and cookies, and play with some friends. Liz was so sweet she hard boiled ALL the eggs, each child got 9 eggs each. She also had stickers and fun things to decorate the eggs with, then got each child their own Easter basket. It was pretty fun. Sarah Jane made the cookies and Allie brought the frosting. It was a pretty fun day.
I think Luke enjoyed the chalk the most though....he's such a boy

That weekend Sarah Jane and Nathan were moving so I watched the kiddos and we decided to have an Easter egg hunt. It was so hot outside, the eggs were only out for maybe 10 minutes, but were completely melted. It didn't stop them from eating the candy though.

Norah and Luke

Little James didn't quite get what we were doing, but I think he had fun

We also decided to hit up the beach with some friends, The Barrus' and the Ohrans. It was a little windy, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Luke and Colby dug in the sand and loved every minute of it.

Sunday morning the Easter bunny had come and the big gift was a light saber...I mean his name is Luke so it was only a matter of time. He chased Austin around the house most of the day and carries it with him wherever he goes.

Here's the little ham all ready to go to church. After church the Barrus' invited us over to their parents house for dinner. It was really great food and great company. Although the egg hunts and food and gifts are so much fun, I love that we get to go to church on Easter and remember the Savior. I'm so grateful for the Atonement in my life and feel so very blessed. We had a great Easter.
